We have had a further conversation with our Mr. Fisher over the subject matter of the above-mentioned correspondence in respect of the Carburetters which you require, and now have pleasure in putting forward our proposals, which are as follows :- 1. That we take as a basis the AAV-25 (1938 Cadillac) Carburetter. This carburetter includes provision for piston fast idle and an electric thermostat for the control of the choke spindle. 2. That the main body of that carburetter be replaced by a casting having 1-1/32" venturii and with provision for housing the swinging link between the fast idle piston and the choke valve. 3. The pump discharge tubes to deliver inside the inner venturi at a point directly opposite to the outlet of the main discharge tube. 4. That high speed bleeds of the tall type be fitted. 5. That the pump cylinder shall be the same diameter as on the AAV-25 carburetter, i.e. as for the 1938 Cadillac version. 6. That the auxiliary idle air bleeds in the main body adjacent to the top of the idle tubes be drilled NO. 60. | ||
