EXPERIMENTAL REPORT. Expl. No. X5940 REF: HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}1/LG31.3.25. To R.{Sir Henry Royce} from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to CJ. BJ. c. to RG.{Mr Rowledge} E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} c. to DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} c. to Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} S E C R E T. 'INDIA' CHASSIS. X5940 X5310 We are running an 'India' front axle fitted with front wheel brake parts, on the bumping rig. We had promised that we should have a chassis ready by April 1st., but owing to delays in obtaining ground gears for the gearbox, this will not be possible. Although there will be a delay on the experimental 'India' chassis (20HP. to which 4-wheel brakes can be fitted) we do not anticipate that we shall be much behind our promise for the final 20 HP. car complete with brakes and servo. A big effort is being made to get one of these chassis completed before the Easter holidays. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
