GC. REPORT ON B.5. PARTS. DOORS INTERIOR. Offside Rear Door. This door is much better than N.S. but the spur as shown on the sketch is deficient where it joins rear pillar and also lower down. there is also a serious shortage on the door bottom. As far as the outside shape is concerned when these are put right the door will be passable. There is a twist in the upper part of the door diagonally from the top of the spur to the top of the front pillar. See sketch attached. Nearside Rear Door. Door top is 1/4 short on corner to nothing at top of spur edging and top of front pillar. This automatically brings the angle of the rear edging plate and top of waist to a reduced angle. Spur radius is too great from nothing at waist to 1/8" at door bottom. Front door is 1/4" short overall, this throws the door bottom in relation to it at a greater angle than it should be. Bad hole in front face of front pillar where centre stay has been welded in, and this pillar shows a bow extending from waist to bottom. For further criticisms refer to sketch attached. Both front doors are on the full side as you will see from the sketches attached. We will try and supply you with some templates for you to check to inside and outside. The door levers are not quite correct but we will be able to tell you more about this in the near future. BOOT LID{A. J. Lidsey} INTERIOR. N.S.Flange has 1/8" bow. offside of top flange is 3/32" over size Top part of lid{A. J. Lidsey} has 5/16" too much shape at a section through the centre of lid.{A. J. Lidsey} | ||
