X.8796 - Watford Magnetos for EAC.

Upon receipt of yours EFC {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} 8/T26.11.25, we communicated to North & Sons Ltd. your remarks with regard to Watford EO.6 magneto No.81100 and we are this morning in receipt of a reply from said firm dated 12th inst. as follows:-

"With reference to magneto No.81100 returned to us "under the complaint of misfiring at all speeds, we beg "to say that we have now closely examined this machine "and find that your remarks are justified. When we "came to diagnose this fault we certainly found a little "end play in the armature but the chief trouble was due "to the contact breaker key being a bad fit in the keyway "on the condenser box.

"When the machine was received we found that the "contact breaker was breaking slightly too early. This "defect has now been remedied and a note made of the "trouble.

"We are carrying out this work free of charge and "the machine will be returned to you at the earliest "possible moment."

Wd. {Mr Wood / Mr Whitehead}
