DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} c. Wer. c. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} 75600 BYG/G.5.4.29. SIDE SPARE WHEEL CARRIERS. With reference to our correspondence with WW. on the above subject and/EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}2/27.3.29. we have produced two layouts to meet the proposals put forward and enclose same herewith. Kindly let us know which of these is to be proceeded with. This matter is most urgent, and a decision should be transmitted by wire,as obviously we cannot do anything with either the spare wheel carrier or the engine foot until we receive your decision. At the time of our original conversation we had instructed the Department to go ahead and produce a wider engine foot but in view of EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}'s memo we have of course had to cancel this position and are now waiting your instructions. We send you herewith copy of your pencil memo EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}2/27.3.29., also prints of the two sketches referred to. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} BY | ||
