Petrol Pump Rubber Mounting. We are having a serious deterioration of the rubber mounting. The rubber block is becoming a sticky mixture due to petrol leaking from the pump on to it. If the rubber mounting is going to be permanent it will have to withstand petrol. With the new pumps, leaks cannot definitely be said to be dispensed with, as it is a question of whether the bottom plugs of the pump are petrol tight, or not. In most cases the leak has come from these plugs, and the damage done before being detected. G.W. Hancock. | ||
