Messrs. Borg & Beck Ltd.,
Tachbrook Road,
Leamington Spa.

For the attention of Mr. Barker.

Dear Sirs,

We have received a letter from your Service Dept. regarding the 11" clutch which you have beenmodifying for us, and as a result we have been able to trace that it has been passed on to our production people by mistake. We thank you for helping to clear this matter up.

We have to-day passed an order to you for six 10" driven plates lined with "No.6" material.

Regarding the 13¼" driven plates, as we mentioned to Mr. Armitage on the occasion of one of our visits to you we have had one or two cases of balance weights working loose when made of copper. On inspection of the production plates we have found one or two weights loose as received from you before running. In view of this we think the weights should all be of steel in the future, and precautions should be taken to ensure that they fit right across the slot and are a tight fit. You will appreciate that if they are loose, or tend to become so, they will in time wear through and come off the disc.
