X5290 To BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} FROM E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} C. to BJ. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} E4/M6. 7.26. 20HP. UNDERSHIELDS - X.615. Referring to your memo BY/CGH{W Clough}20/G29626., the schemes we have sent you are supposed to deal with the objection of mud and water splashing, by stepping back the surfaces as far as possible which cause the trouble. At the same time these LeC. drawings also include a reduction in the depth of the undershields with the object of gaining more road clearance. Mr. Royce does not wish to proceed with GL.{G. Linnett}159 and 191. as he thinks those we have sent you should deal with the trouble of mud reflecting to a sufficient degree to be satisfactory. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} | ||
