Referring to your memo BY/CGH{W Clough}20/G29626.,
the schemes we have sent you are supposed to deal with
the objection of mud and water splashing, by stepping
back the surfaces as far as possible which cause the
trouble.

At the same time these LeC. drawings also
include a reduction in the depth of the undershields
with the object of gaining more road clearance.

Mr. Royce does not wish to proceed with GL.{G. Linnett}159
and 191. as he thinks those we have sent you should deal
with the trouble of mud reflecting to a sufficient degree
to be satisfactory.
