With reference to CWB5/JL7.7.28. We will try and let you have the necessary shock absorbers for 29-CL within the next 14 days.

With reference to the side steering tube springs. It is impossible to increase the strength of the springs by means of washers in the side steering tubes. Such an alteration does not increase their rating. We will however let you have some 2000 lbs. springs to try.

We believe that the Continental rear springing will, on the whole, suit you better than the standard type springing. The Le CanadelHenry Royce's French residence roads are rather exceptional as one does about 50 m.p.h. over enormous pot-holes.

Additionally, we had a pair of springs on 12-EX which we borrowed off a sports car and in consequence the axle hit the buffers unless we tightened up the Hartfords, which were put on the rear, very considerably.

Summarising our views - the riding we have to give you is something between standard and 15-EX. We think that the increased front damping will enable you to use 2000 lbs. side steering tube springs with advantage. These cannot be used with success on the standard front dampers.
