6. B. IV.

The new con-rods were fitted to this car yester-day and the car tested. Shifts commenced this morning with light running for the new bearings.

The new oil pump has not cured the priming failure after braking.

The servo cams Ex.25697/8 have been fitted.

The aluminised front expansion box received has also been fitted. The clip directly behind the downtake pipe came off while the pipe was being fitted. We understand that as a result of GWH{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux}'s reports of this clip coming off repeatedly in service, a scheme has been brought out for a lug to be welded on to locate the clip, and we are disappointed that it does not appear on this latest exhaust system sent out to us.
