25/30 and BENTLEY CONNECTING RODS.

I wish to confirm my verbal instruction that we replace the composite shim made up from steel with an aluminium facing with RR.56 forged shims.

Will the Order Office and Works kindly get this job moving as quickly as possible, as it is very evident that the trouble we have had with one or two chassis in customers hands has been due to the aluminium from the shim tearing away and cutting up the bearing. It is, therefore, very urgent to get the forged RR.56 shim into service.
