My dear Grylls, Many thanks for your letter of the 19th inst., and in replying would like to apologize for my apparent neglect in not writing or otherwise communicating with you in the past month or two, but like yourself things have been somewhat hectic over this period, and I trust you will excuse this lapse. With regard to the gearbox bearings, I note your remarks and will certainly take the necessary steps to avoid any possible troubles, and would like to thank you for your warning in this matter. With regard to the bearings you have tried, these were of course "hashed" up rather quickly as you will remember, and it may be that due to this there are certain small damages etc. which have caused the noise. However, I will make certain, as mentioned above, of avoiding any trouble on the production quantities. I note your remarks with regard to our friend Wade, and trust that you will get in touch with him as soon as you have an opportunity as I am sure he will be interested.
