Dear Railton,

Thank you for your letter of October 12th and for the drawing of the curious contrivance about which I asked you. On the face of it I think your opinion of it is the right one: we are trying it out.

I shall be at Olympia on Tuesday and Wednesday morning, but at the moment my prospects of having a quiet meal without being surrounded with people seem somewhat remote. If you happen to be in the Show, we might meet for a dish of tea on Tuesday.

You must come up to Derby and have a look at us before long.
