X1104 Exptl. Dept. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls}24/KW. 31st October, 1935. A.C. Bertelli, Esq., Messrs. Aston Martin Ltd., Feltham, Middlesex. Dear Bertelli, I hope by now you have recovered from a surfeit of Olympia food!! With regard to our conversation about brake drums, we should be very grateful for a further aluminium drum, and as I told you at the Show, we should like to pay for this one and the one we scrapped. The steel and the electron drums we shall be returning to you shortly. I am off to America next Wednesday until about Christmas, but this will not make any difference to the tests being done on the brake drums. By-the-way, I believe the power from the 2.6 litre S.S. engine is 96 HP. and not the phenomenal figures being claimed at Olympia. Yours sincerely, | ||
