X2894 EFC.. Hm{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs}/FHA10/KW15.5.30. Battery Ignition Replacements. With reference to your memo. EFC1/AD14.5.30, we attach hereto an analysis of ignition troubles for the last two quarters, i.e. quarter ending 31st December 1929, and quarter ending 31st March, 1930. These are from Works, Cricklewood and Paris, and are definite complaints of ignition troubles and have been dealt with as such, the work and material necessary to make good being charged to the Company. There are other cases during the quarter where Coils, Tungsten points, and Rotors are fitted which are chargeable to the owner - no record is kept of these. It is generally found that the rotor blade D.50752 is burnt, and it can be readily understood it is much quicker to replace the rotor and blade than the blade only, as we cannot expect the Works to grind new blades fitted to old rotors in odd ones. When we have sufficient of the old type rotors D.50751A new blades are fitted and ground in quantities, and used as replacements. Hm.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} | ||
