EFC X6115 DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}3/M22.1.31. SS.{S. Smith} FROM DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} C. to WOR.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} LUCAS WINDSCREEN WIPER. We do not like the Lucas windscreen wiper and we know from practical experience its many failings. We believe that Sales - who have always instructions to inform us immediately they know of any better accessory thanthe one we now recommend - have been on the lookout for a better wiper for a year or more, but we have apparently not discovered one. It was suggested at one time that we should design a wiper and get it made for us. We believe that someone technically competent should take the matter of design of the wiper up with Messrs Lucas with a view to getting a special instrument produced for ourselves even at a slightly increased cost. The writer had intended to do this himself but it is one of the many things which he will now be unable to do.
