To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} re Phantom Clutches. Copy to Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} I have just received Standardisation sheet No. 7305/7480 dated 5.7.30 for fitting friction surfaces of clutch on driven/member. This has been signed by everybody but from your last report Hsl/MJ.15.9/30 I gather that from further tests we have come to the conclusion that it would not be advantageous to change over to the clutch with the fabric on the driven member. Under the circumstances it seems as if this standardisation sheet should be cancelled. Would you please let me know. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} Handwritten notes: Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}, x7480, x7505. x7480 Stamp: RECEIVED SEP 18 1930 HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
