RE: NEW SOURCE OF SUPPLY FOR BAKELITE TYPE MATERIALS. ---------------------------------------------------- We must bear in mind when testing samples that such samples nearly always represent selected conditions, and that therefore before we consider making any change we must place a small order which should be looked upon as a sample for production. The results we obtain from this must be a guide as to our ultimate course of conduct. When placing the sample order it must be of sufficient size to ensure us getting standard production material from the particular source we are considering. I attach hereto to BY/RD's copy of this memo, report on Bakelite CO's Powder Grade X.20 - 5, which I think is the second or third new material which has recently been tested. H BY.{R.W.
