Again, Messrs North & Co. promised at WW. a suitable clock for our cluster board. My feeling is that we do not want a face winder, but the choice is between a back winder, or a side winder: the latter seems to me the one to go for. I could not agree to a face and glass that was not of simple circular form.

Again include a copy of this memo. to Mr. North.

We have been over a year getting a move on this.

Again we must try somewhere else if there is not a move in 4 weeks time: Waltham should make something good. Find out every clock that is available in England, and abroad.

I fear the English are still not working, and if so, we must go further.
