HÔTEL DE PARIS & DU DAUPHIN RÉUNIS LE MANS MARCEL BROSSERON PROPRIETAIRE R.C. LE MANS 5.073 SIEGE DU ROTARY-CLUB DU MANS TÉLÉPHONE 3-28 LE MANS, le 8 - 6 - 1936. x202 To hm{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs}, We are waiting now for the final decision of the Automobile Club de France. It seems very doubtful about the race being held at all this year. Will know more definite Tuesday 6.0 P.M. Today, Monday, we ran the practice car round the course for the brakes. Mr. Hall drove 3 laps & I ran it 5 to 6 laps. We've had a little trouble with the front brakes pulling to the N.S. I adjusted the poor brake (O.S.F) out one half turn on the toggle of the wrapping shoe. This made a big improvement. After the 8 to 9 laps I checked up on the wear cold as follows - all brakes required one click or half turn up except N.S.F. which required 2 clicks or one full turn. I then adjusted the O.S.F. again one half turn out on the toggle & finished late to night. I arrived here on Saturday on the lorry with the race car from Le Havre. We have not unloaded it yet.
