Dear Sirs,

We thank you for your letter of the 6th instant.

We are having the orders to which you refer traced, but we feel fairly certain that English Benzole was supplied against these.

Before arranging for the 50 gallons of French Benzole, which we are now holding, to be forwarded to you, we would point out that the cost of obtaining this and delivering it to your Works amounts to 5s.1d. per gallon. Would you please advise us whether you are prepared to accept delivery of the 50 gallons at this price.

Yours faithfully,

Manager,
