In accordance with the memo to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} (Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}9/R.{Sir Henry Royce} 6.4.38) we are sending over a 25/30 unit C.17 together with the following parts to re-assemble as a 4¼ litre Bentley which is to be fitted to the above car.

(1) EB.2746 Bentley camshaft.
(2) EB.2500 Cylinder head complete.
(3) Induction manifolds and S.U. carbs.
(4) Set of aerolite pistons.
(5) Std. B & B Bentley clutch.
(6) Bentley balance weights.
(7) Increased capacity std. Bentley oil pump.

The approximate overhaul work entailed comprises -

(1) Complete dismantle of C.17.
(2) Bentley balance weights to be fitted to crankshaft and rebalanced (supplied). Up to date drilling of oil holes.
(3) B & B clutch fitted, flywheel being drilled to suit (Supplied).
(4) Std. production set of main bearings to be fitted.
(5) New std. big end bearings if necessary, also drilling of oil jet squirt holes in con rods.
(6) Bentley rear engine support feet to be fitted.
(7) Bentley camshaft to be fitted (Supplied).
(8) Aerolite pistons " " (Supplied).
