Smith's Electric Clocks.

With reference to the proposed new fuse on the Smith's electric clock, they write as follows, dated March 3rd. 1937.

"Regarding the position of the new type bi-metal fuse which it is proposed to use on the electric clock, we regret to say that we have not yet received the special material, but we are promised delivery in about 14 days. It will be necessary to make very stringent tests that will take some time to complete. We will therefore, let you have further information as soon as we are in a position to do so.

It appears therefore, that we shall have to continue for some time with the present type of fuse, and rely upon their closer inspection than heretofore.

May we point out that we have for some time now, kept in close touch with Messrs. Smith & Sons, and the A.T.Speedometer Co., with a view to eliminating the silly little faults which have recurred from time to time.

The broken balance staff continues to be the chief source of trouble, and for week ending February 13th. we have four of these cases reported.
