Hoob To Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/AFM.{Anthony F. Martindale} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/IMW.{Ivan M. Waller - Head of Chateauroux} Chateauroux. I arrived back at the works this afternoon and gave Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} a brief account of our work on the car and my day's run with you. He does not want the car to return to England yet, and Gardiner and Rose will be bringing a car down to Folkestone next Monday, Jan. 16th., and you are to meet them off the boat arriving soon after mid-day at Boulogne. They will continue to run mileage on the car from Chateauroux. Now that the arrangements have been settled upon, there will be no need for you to 'phone Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} in reply to his telegram of this morning, unless there is anything urgent to communicate. Please confirm receipt of this letter by telegram. Regarding the front end shake, will you please make quite certain that neither the dash nor the silentbloc brackets securing it to the frame are broken. Grylls and Dodd say that they did not experience steering reactions although Mx.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} and Lewis apparently noticed them straight away. I trust your indisposition was short lived. Will you please open and deal with a letter to me from Davis. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/IMW.{Ivan M. Waller - Head of Chateauroux} | ||
