Re Rubber Ended Connecting Links for Roll Rods
----------------------------------------------
In using the rubber ended connecting link for roll rods based on the American design, we have used screwed-on ends to the connecting tube in order that the connecting link may be assembled and disassembled at will.

The American scheme had a permanently built-up connecting tube and we gave you a number of samples when E {Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} /PSN returned from America. Unfortunately we have to use this American link for the front roll rod of Wraith II which is shown on N.Sch.4850 issued some good while ago.

We have been endeavouring to find out from your experiments with the American samples exactly how the American link is assembled. You have had one connecting type cut open and we have examined the pieces but no experiments have been made at putting it together.

Since we wish to complete our Wraith II instructions and are committed to the American link type of construction we would be very glad if we could have some report on this matter. Since this link is used in America and the Americans can put it together we should be able to do so.
