Dear Sirs, We thank you for your letter of the 20th January, addressed for the attention of our Mr.Johnson, regarding Thrust Washers EXS.1342, and note you require four sets .137" thick. We regret, however, that we have no Steel Backed Babbitt of this thickness, but could make these in our special Clevite, if this will suit your purpose. We wish to point out, however, that we should not be able to supply this in production quantities, and if you decide to go ahead with this job, it will be necessary to make some alteration to allow one of our standard thicknesses of Steel Backed Babbitt to be used. In the meantime, we hand you herewith a further copy of our Recommendation Sheet No.B.2301, of Damper Flywheel Bush, and await your comments in due course.
