xxx 2424 1267 January 28th.1938 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Mths.{Reg Matthews}10/AP. The Light Production Co.Ltd., 60/66 Rochester Row, Westminster, LONDON S.W.1. For the attention of Mr.C.H.Brooks. Dear Sirs, We thank you for your letter of 25th.inst. relating to 3 1/2" bore compression rings and for the rings which we have now received. We have not had a chance of fitting the rings to an engine as yet, but we shall do so in the near future. We have tried one or two of the rings over a piston and confirm that they go back to the original gap when closed in a cylinder. We note that you will be able to grind our T.slot pistons when we have them up to the grinding stage, but we do not expect to be able to despatch them for another two or three weeks. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
