The urgent replacement of faulty ball bearings with sheet metal cages with new cast cage bearings.

I understand, however, that as the matter was so urgent we had already taken it up, and the ball bearings with cast cages are being fitted to the cars we are at present building, also to all repair cars, and to every car in Mr Platford's department. The ball bearings with sheet metal cages have been returned to the makers who admit they are faulty and who are supplying cast cages in their place free of charge. A.J.Deas.
