To EY. from Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} c.c. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Hdy.{William Hardy} RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} SECRET. <306 SpectreCodename for Phantom III - Hand Brake Intermediate Shaft. On N.Sch.4390, the line of the hand brake pull rod has been moved out towards the frame side member. This will necessitate the hand brake intermediate shaft shewn on N.Sch. 4275 being lengthened, and a slightly different position found for the lubrication distribution connection. This is shewn on N.Sch.4501. There is a slight increase in the flexibility of the shaft, due tothe increased length, and this can be restored by making the gauge of the tube 10 SWG instead of 12 SWG.
