X5260 To SG{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}; from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} c. to DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} Hsl/LG6.11.28. 20 HP. MODIFIED BONNET AND DASH. X5500 It will be at least three or four weeks before we have a 20 HP. car fitted with the modification XXXX as per N.sch.2724. Our own opinion is that this modification is one which it is not essential to see a model before coming to any decision. We believe the alteration is so slight that unless you had two cars side by side, it would be difficult to note any difference. At the same time, however, we consider the alteration will be an improvement. We suggest that you get a coachbuilders picture drawing of the 20 HP. fitted with the standard bonnet and dash and with the modified one, and we think from these you should be able to make a decision as to whether you wish to wait to see a model before you make a decision.
