Referring to BY/Cgh{W Clough}6/G28.9.28. re second modification to 20 HP. chassis bonnet and dash as per N.Sch. 2724, we note that material is ordered for the second half of N. Series and cannot be altered without scrap, but that you have held up material affected for 'O' Series. We also understand that the modifications that are being applied to Experimental car 14.G.4. for which a body is on order at Hooper's. You will appreciate that we should like to see the complete car finished or (if time does not permit, in the rough) before we officially approve of the modification, and what we should like, therefore, is to know how soon this is likely to be possible as compared with how long you can hold up the material affected for Series O.{Mr Oldham} We do not wish to go to the expense of bringing through one car specially as the purpose can be served by an inspection of the Experimental car referred to and should be quicker than bringing through another.
