RE PREVENTION OF OIL LEAKAGE TO BRAKES FROM BACK AXLE.
I attach copy of RS{Sir Henry Royce's Secretary}/G27819 which apparently should have been sent to you in the first place. In the 3rd. paragraph of this note Mr. Royce implies that schemes are already in existence for fitting diaphragms on the large end of the axle tubes to prevent the transference of oil from the back axle along the tubes. Has such a scheme been prepared? If not will you please issue the necessary drawings to the Experimental Shop in order that two or three sets may be tried and standardisation proceeded with if successful.
