BRAKE ROPE CONNECTIONS ON 40/50 CHASSIS.
With reference to Mr. Elliott's note E6/G1.8.19., in which he says that Mr. Royce considers there should be more clearance in the Brake Rope Connections. We find that the clearance shewn on the drawing is only .001" so in some cases, when these are put together, they will be quite tight. We recommend that the clearance should be .005" between the pin and the lever.
