I wrote for an appointment and called on the 23rd. I had hoped to be able to give Mr.Thompson a run in 3-CM-87 as he had expressed a desire to see a car like that when I last saw him. He was, however, not at home.

I saw the driver and ascertained that the above car was giving every satisfaction but that it was ready for decarbonization. On the road I foundit very evident that decarbonizing was due. There was also a good deal of joggle and kick in the steering, also a knock at the top of the column. The brakes were inefficient and all on the rear.

The driver considers that the best plan would be for RM{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} who is this owner's son-in-law, to get in touch with him and endeavour to arrange for the car to ES/W. for these matters to receive attention. I am therefore sending Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} a copy of this memo and no doubt he will deal with the matter as he thinks fit.
