THE S.U. COMPANY CONTINUATION NO. 2. Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd. inasmuch, as they have a finer clearance on the small diameter, and the same depth of recess as on the older 1 3/8" carburetter. Will you therefore be good enough to try this special pair of pistons as against the slow running obtained on the standard piston, and let us know as early as possible which type you would prefer fitted in this first production order of one dozen sets. We are enclosing herewith a blue print showing the two dimensions which are altered on the special pair in an endeavour to give better slow running. Yours faithfully, For THE S.U. COMPANY. B. Cooper P.S. Presumably you will do these slow running tests on one of the later carburetters having the cork - brass silencing plates on the jet bridge, as these plates sometimes upset the tuning that has been previously done with them. | ||
