I want to try and obtain a picture of the average cost of running the Engineering Department of the Chassis Division in pre-war days.

I have a lot of figures, but I do not quite now how they are arrived at - that is, whether the labour carries any overheads at all and whether any depreciation is debited for machine tools and plant. I also know that no salaries were included.

From the available d..ta, is it possible to produce any clearer icture of the total engineering expenses?
