ORIGINAL TO HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} FROM DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}4/M3.10.24. 20.HP. SIDE STEERING TUBE. K4265 Replying to your HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}8/LG18924., we think that the scheme of lubrication on LF469 will be satisfactory, and would point out that it is very similar to the original method of lubrication of these joints that was dropped in response to a request from the Experimental Dept. for a lubricator more directly opposite the ball. The only alteration to LF.469. we should suggest is that the hole through the ball might be a little larger, say, .156", without increasing the diameter of the flats at the end. This would further ensure that there was a free passage for the oil. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
