ORIGINAL TO RG.{Mr Rowledge} DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} } FROM R.{Sir Henry Royce} (AT LE CANADELHenry Royce's French residence.) Copy to - OJ. BJ. WOR{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} MR. PN.{Mr Northey} re. WHEELBASE. 40/50 & 20.HP. X4260 X3440 We made occasion to bring the Goshawk up to the villa for experience. It left an impression that the wheel-base of this and the 40/50 should be kept as short as at present if possible. Or that it would be better to continue the two lengths of chassis. The steering lock will not make up for a very long chassis, but of course the big lock should be maintained the same as the present 40/50. R.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
