Colour scheme and production of 'Matchbox Series' Silver Cloud models.

| CREWE To JPB from RW. RW.8/KS. 19.9.57. Enclosed are two of the Silver Cloud models in the "Matchbox Series". I understand that while they have done a limited run they still have the major run to do and I have asked them to hold this up until we can advise them on the colours. I wrote to them yesterday taking them to task for going ahead even to this stage and also telling them that I don't think a great deal of the finished article. However, I hope that by getting it done in a two-tone colour scheme it will have the effect of making it appear a larger car. Could I please have your comments and a suggestion to pass on to the manufacturers for the colour scheme. I understand that they want to start full production as quickly as possible preparatory for the Christmas trade. Encs: 2 models. RW. | ||
