Messrs.Rolls-Royce Ltd.,
DERBY.

For the attention of Mr.F.Ll.Smith.

Dear Sirs,

With reference to our 'phone conversation of yesterday, the writer regrets that he was unable to write you last evening as promised, but upon investigating the remaining material outstanding we find that we still have one 10.A3 and one 11.A6 clutch cover assembly at these Works to be stripped and re-built with S.82 material eyebolts.

We find that the delay occasioned in returning this material to you is probably due to our inability to obtain the special S.82 material from your Works.

However, a quantity of same is now to hand, and no time will be lost in re-building the clutches and returning same to your Works.

In the meantime we feel sure you will appreciate that it will be to our mutual advantage to supply us with any quantity of S.82 material which may be ordered, in bulk quantity so that we can set up the means for producing same in a batch, and the same remarks apply of course to the hardening process.

Yours faithfully,
BORG & BECK COMPANY LIMITED,

H.T.Barker.
