Contd. -3- EFC4/T2.6.21. more than balanced by the increased durability of the battery. Battery No. 63. C.A.V. Willard Thread Rubber 12XR-7/I We received two of these batteries one of which was put through our routine tests. As will be seen from the tables and curves, this battery has put up a distinctly good bench performance. It is intended now to give this battery a run on our new battery vibration test rig. The follow battery to this will shortly be put on chassis 2 EX. Battery No. 65 C.A.V. Willard 12 XR2. This battery with a rated amp. hour capacity of 48 is also fitted with the threaded rubber separators and would probably be suitable for the Goshawk chassis. We have now a battery vibration rig and are carrying out preliminary tests as to the amount of vibration which should be allowed. As soon as this is determined we shall place some of the above batteries on vibration test. results of which will be reported in due course. EFC. | ||
