Dear Mr. Rushton,

We are carrying out a fairly comprehensive development programme during the war on Chassis work.

Amongst other things, Mr. Childe will be ordering from you a number of 8-cylinder distributors.

I should be much indebted to you if you could give Mr. Childe every possible assistance in the matter of developing a satisfactory distributor.

I appreciate that you have had a somewhat unfortunate experience on the 6-cylinder distributor in production but results in service have removed a number of the inhibitions of our people regarding your product and I feel that after the war we should be able to do business with you.

Yours sincerely,
