Referring to Wor{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}9/M18.9.24, I am pleased to be able to announce the receipt of a letter from Jonas Woodhead & Sons Ltd. undertaking to despatch to us on Saturday next, 27th inst. 26 springs of the new type (43½" centres, 12½% stiffer type, with 10 to 13 plates, thickness of top plate 2 BWG{J. C. Bowring} - .284"). These springs will be of the following poundages:-

7 Springs - 1100 lbs.
9 " - 1150 "
6 " - 1200 "
4 " - 1250 "

Three of the 1100 lbs and three of the 1150 lbs springs are intended for Sales trial chassis 10-AU, 11-AU. and 12-AU.

Two 1100 and two 1150 lbs springs are intended for two experimental cars which Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} informs us it is proposed to use as trials cars for Olympia.

The remainder of the springs, namely:-

2 -- 1100 lbs.
4 -- 1150 lbs.
6 -- 1200 lbs.
4 -- 1250 lbs.

are intended for Experimental Department for their tests.

With these springs Woodhead will send us 12 spare main plates, 1 BWG{J. C. Bowring} - .300" thick.

The 26 springs and 12 spare main plates should be in our possession early in the morning of Monday next, 29th inst.
