ROAD SPRINGS MADE BY FIRTHS IN PLACE Of WOODHEADS. Origin. To ensure constant supply of springs. Experimental Test Report. Experiments on the bumping rig with 20 HP. proved that the average life of the latest springs supplied by Firths was equal to Woodheads. We also recommend changing to Firths springs on the 40/50 HP. Road Test Report. Set of Firths springs run 6800 miles on 7-G-11. No failures. No road tests on 40/50. First set just fitted to a car. X No. 12.22 4429 Drawing No. Part List.
