Re TYRES.
---------

I have had a letter from Mr. Shankland of Dunlops regarding their new "90" pattern tyres, which I understand is a new type of tyre to replace the "MA.2".

They have suggested they should start supplying the new pattern in small quantities as they are able to manufacture them and gradually work these up until they are supplying 100% of the "90" pattern, thus enabling us to use up our stock of "MA.2" tyres.

This seems to me to be quite all right but what I would like to know is whether the Works are really satisfied that these "90" type are satisfactory from all the points of view, namely in respect of silence, non-skidding and wearing.
