X8230 PN{Mr Northey}5/DN21.8.25. TO Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to BJ c. to CWB FROM PN{Mr Northey} Exhaust sounds on "New PhantomCodename for PHANTOM Is". I understand from CWB on his return from Derby that you have a method of dealing with this exhaust noise trouble, which you would like me to try on one of our Trials Cars, in view of the fact that all your own experimental cars are greatly involved in other experimental work at the moment. Unfortunately, in view of my leaving London for a fortnight's holiday, I am not able to carry this matter any more forward myself during that time, but in about ten days' time I propose to send you one of our Open Trials "New PhantomCodename for PHANTOM Is", which I understand you will return to us the next day fitted with the modified scheme. I will test this then immediately on my return, after which the car must be again returned to its normal condition, unless the Administration is in a position to instruct that such modification, if satisfactory, shall be fitted to production cars at once. It will be necessary for us to be informed what would be involved in scrap and material in such a case. P.N. P.N. H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} | ||
