R.{Sir Henry Royce} FROM E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Copy to HJ. " HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} " BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} " EFC. ORIGINAL SECRET E4/M29.1.29. SS.{S. Smith} PRESS BUTTON STARTER SWITCH. X7655 Please find herewith blueprint of LeC.2641., shewing the above. This switch has been completed along the lines first projected but not before exploring other variations which promised to reduce the depth of the switch. None of these alternatives appeared to offer such a practical arrangement as LeC. 2641. in which the brushes and contacts are nicely located in between two bearings carried on a common base, the switch being a complete unit clamped between the front and rear covers. The original drawing is attached to BY's copy of this memo. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} | ||
