SS.{S. Smith} THROTTLE GOVERNOR CONTROL. X7140

Blueprint LeC. 2653. herewith shews two small alterations to the above, one being to the range of the control which we have reduced by lengthening the lever driven from the steering column.

The other alteration concerns the governor spring anchorage.

This has been improved from the point of view of appearance by replacing the long untidy hooks used on the spring hangers with short closed ones, and by attaching the forward hanger to the governor lever with a loop and pin instead of threading it through the lever.

We realise this last named should be as free from friction as possible but as the loop does not fit the pin it can roll for small amplitudes instead of slide.

The original drawing is attached to BY's copy of this memo.
