X.4617P. Extract from EFCl/T9.10.26. TO MESSRS. PETO & RADFORD. X4664. With regard to the height of the battery, I shall say no more about this and hope that the matter will die out. I have raised the matter this last week or two really because I thought that our own Drawing Office had allowed you the extra and I was enquiring as to why they had allowed this. One of the drawing office staff had definitely given me the impression that he was aware that Mr. Bailey had allowed you the extra, but I have recently found out that Mr. Bailey denies any knowledge of it, and I fear that my own step in the matter has caused a slight change of attitude on their part to your firm, which had better not be further stimulated. At the same time I do think it would have been better for our general attitude towards your firm if you had not done it. It seems likely that the new 40/50 battery in frame in six-volt units will materialise, as it has been instructed by Mr. Royce. | ||
