Oil Filter on Phantom. The scheme for an Auto Klean filter in the main oil circulation was examined in its preliminary state. It is proposed to rotate the unit for cleaning purposes by a connection to the clutch pedal. Jellying on Phantom Car. It has now been found possible to very much improve this point by different mounting of the radiator. This is a particularly happy solution as it does not involve very much alteration and improves the steering of the car. Further tests will be made to confirm these results. Compression Ignition Unit. Mr. Pye and Mr. Tweedie visited us yesterday and Mr. Pye accepted everything except the stroke. To modify the unit to make it with a longer stroke does not mean scrapping the parts beyond those which we can transfer to the H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} unit which we intend to build as soon as possible. We did not arrive at any settlement of the commercial question. We believe Mr. Pye and Mr. Tweedie discussed the matter on their way back and perhaps you will be able to follow this matter up. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} was asked to circulate his note stating the reasons underlying our design of unit. Rg.{Mr Rowledge} | ||
